From the Farm | Marburger Farm Antique Show Ushers in New Era

Marburger Farm Antique Show, an insider destination for interior designers, cultural tastemakers, and celebrities, will debut a significant transformation of its celebrated 43-acre property at its Spring Show, March 24-28. The redevelopment reflects a thoughtful balance between honoring the site’s storied heritage and positioning it for the future. Highlights include the restoration of all 10 historic buildings, the addition of food and entertainment spaces, and a restructured layout reminiscent of a lively Texas town square, promoting a more engaging and seamless experience for shoppers and dealers.

Upgrades will introduce air conditioning and heating to the historic buildings, while the new layout works in harmony with the land’s native Texas beauty—rolling hills, live oaks, wildflowers and the central pond. All enhancements are intended to preserve and maintain beloved traditions like opening-day tailgates, live music, the ceremonial ringing of the triangle to open the tents, and time spent in community with one another. The buildings undergoing preservation work and receiving facility upgrades include: Marburger Farmhouse, Legler House, Coufal House, Zieger House, Silver Dollar Saloon, Gulf Warehouse, Dance Hall, Bingo Hall, Blacksmith Shop and General Store. New additions debuting this spring include The Canteen, a large food pavilion overlooking the pond; The Parlor, a design showcase space; a live music stage; enhanced pathways and a communal green designed for gathering and celebration. Following the Spring Show, two new climate-controlled buildings will replace the two most centrally located tents and will open in time for the Fall Show, Oct. 27-31.

“Marburger Farm is foundational to Round Top and to the design world at large,” says John Sughrue, owner and CEO of Brook Partners and Marburger Farm Antique Show. “This redevelopment honors what has made Marburger extraordinary for decades while evolving the site for the future. The land, the historic buildings and most importantly, the dealers and shoppers who shaped its legacy remain at the heart of everything we do.”

Marburger Farm’s Spring Show will reintroduce the property to longtime shoppers as a refreshed yet deeply familiar destination, where guests can shop and celebrate more than ever. The show will feature more than 225 dealers offering a highly curated mix of furniture, art, lighting, décor, vintage clothing, antique jewelry and collectibles. From internationally recognized dealers to longtime Marburger favorites, the show remains a trusted destination for discovering exceptional, one-of-a-kind pieces. The close-knit community of Marburger Farm dealers includes designer favorites like Mallorca-based Jay Bearden of Patternmill (@patternmill), whose collection of premium furniture attracts troves of seasoned designers, as well as New York couple Holler & Squall (@hollerandsquall), whose highly curated lighting objects have drawn the attention of celebrities and other enthusiasts. Longtime vendors include eclectic Don Fields (@firestationguy) and Marburger Farm Antique Show founder Ed Gage, with his sought-after turquoise jewelry, belts and other exceptional pieces that grace the wardrobes of stylists and tastemakers across the globe.
